A meeting of Dunholme Parish Council was held on Monday 9th September 2024 at 7:30pm in the Jubilee Room of the Village Hall.

24/09/01 Chairman’s remarks
Welcome to the meeting, it is fantastic to see the new play area coming along so well. It will hopefully be completed within the next 2 weeks. Thanks were given to those involved. A new notice board was been installed at the village hall site.
24/09/02 To receive apologies and reasons for absence
Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to accept apologies and reasons for absence from Cllr Mrs Forrester and Cllr Seal.
24/09/03 Disclosure of pecuniary interests
None disclosed.
24/09/04 Notes of the meeting held on Monday 5th August 2024 to be approved and signed as minutes
Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed by all to accept the minutes of the last meeting and were signed as a true record of events.
24/09/05 Accounts and Finance
a) To approve the payment of accounts
Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley , seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to make the following payments:-
24/09/06 Parish Council Building and Assets:-
a. To receive an update on the village hall and Bowls Club progress
Cllr Pache gave an update on the current status of the survey results and notified the Council of a meeting to take place regarding possible funding available to assist with the plans being discussed.
b. To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the extension of the footpath to the Parish Council storage container
The Council are obtaining a further quote as stated in the Financial Regulations.
24/09/07 To discuss and submit comments to WLDC regarding planning applications received:-
WL/2024/00620 – The Old Vicarage, Holmes Lane - Listed building consent to erect boundary wall and porch, conversion of garage/store to an accessible bedroom, conversion of cloakroom to accessible bathroom creating an opening between dining room and kitchen and other refurbishment and conservation works – Proposed Cllr Pache, seconded Cllr Ms Keetley and agreed by all to submit no comments regarding this application.
24/09/08 To receive an update regarding promoting sustainability within the village
The clothes bank is very well used and is being emptied on a regular basis. The blister packs are also being collected on a regular basis.
24/09/09 To discuss the “Lincolnshire Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Transformation” scheme - (NHS)working with "Bridge "a community organisation
The first event is taking place on Wednesday 11th September 2024.
24/09/10 To note the consultation period of the Dunholme Neighbourhood Plan
The consultation period for the Neighbourhood Plan Review has been advertised until 20th September 2024.
24/09/11 Village Maintenance
a) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding village maintenance needed around the village
- The new round a bout seats have been chased up for Allwood Road play area.
- The water leak on the corner of Lincoln Road has been looked into and hopefully cleared.
- Proposed Cllr Pache, seconded Cllr Ms Keetley and agreed by all to approve a quote from AKO to restore the plinths around the War Memorial for £552.
- Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to approve a quote from Arborez to cut back a Beech Tree overhanging a garden in Kennington Close play area for £100.
b) To approve the 2025-26 grass cutting and village maintenance schedules to send out for tender
Proposed Cllr Keetley, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed by all to approve the schedules to send out for tender – deadline of 30th October 2024.
c) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the maintenance of the water spring on Holmes Lane
Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to look into quotes to maintain the spring/well
at the bottom of Holmes Lane.
24/09/12 To agree to close the meeting to Press and Public
Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to close the meeting to press and public to discuss sensitive financial matters.
24/09/13 To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the provision of an off-road cycle track and allotments in the village
Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to approach Blankneys with a view to purchase the piece of land behind the pinfold for provision of allotments and an off road cycle track.
24/09/14 To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the DDIBC lease
The proposed new lease has been passed onto the DDIBC for their information.
